  • Renato Carvalho

    Mr. Carvalho is Laplace’s founder, and currently Chairman of the Board of Grupo Casas Bahia.

    Before Laplace, he was a founding partner of Angra Partners and worked at Accenture, Lehman Brothers in New York, and in the Corporate Finance Division of Monitor Clipper Partners in Boston; he has also participated as a member of the Board of Directors of companies such as Telemig Celular, Terra Santa Propriedades Agrícolas, Progen, Metrô do Rio de Janeiro and TMA.

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering from the University of São Paulo’s Polytechnic School and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Mr. Carvalho is also a former Corporate Finance Professor at the Insper Instituição de Ensino e Pesquisa in São Paulo.

  • Allan Libman

    Before joining Laplace, Mr. Libman worked at Credit Suisse Brasil, where he was Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking, and a member of the Investment Banking Committee for Latin America in New York; he joined the Credit Suisse Latin America Group in 2014. He also worked at Banco Santander as head of corporate finance and at Unibanco as head of corporate banking. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.

  • Guilherme Rocha

    Before joining Laplace, Mr. Rocha worked at the law firm Mattos Filho Advogados and then moved into the financial market at Credit Suisse, where he worked up to the position of Vice President of Cement, Construction, and Real Estate. He later served as Executive Director at UBS and an Executive Officer at Banco Votorantim.
    He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.

  • Renato Ejnisman

    Before joining Laplace, Mr. Ejnisman served as a member of Santander’s Executive Committee, where he was responsible for Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Brazil; prior to that, he spent 16 years at Bradesco Group, where he became Executive Vice President and led several businesses, including Bradesco BBI, Ágora, Private Bank and Bradesco Asset, in addition to serving as CEO of the digital bank Next; earlier in his career, he worked at Bank of America, BankBoston and McKinsey.

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics, a master’s degree in nuclear physics from the University of São Paulo, and a PhD in physics from the University of Rochester.

  • Francesco Marinoni

    Before joining Laplace, Mr. Marinoni worked at Lehman Brothers in the United States and at the former Banco Garantia in Brazil. He also served as a Mergers and Acquisitions Executive at UBS and Grupo Ultra.
    He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from MIT and an MBA from Columbia.
